bullhorn I'm back!

Hi folks

Firstly - many, many apologies to you all for just upping sticks and foxtrotting over the horizon. The reason, mostly, was that my access to SubSim was restricted at work, where the majority of my time here came from. Couple that with the fact the wife thought my time on here when at home was really a cover for an illicit affair (that didn't really happen!).

So where am I now. Home, with the wife and daughter. Stepson is away at Uni and stepdaughter is still living in Devon, a bazillion miles away.

I'm still working as an IT engineer for a company that provides NHS services* throughout Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire, as well as occasionally over to Wigan, Leigh, St Helen's, and Knowsley.

*Yes it's a private healthcare company, but it's also what's called a Community Interest Company - a social enterprise that takes the profit and invests it all back in staff and facilities. No dividends to shareholders, nobody getting paid a million quid to just sit on a board once a year.

On the gaming front I built a new PC last year, and then it sat mostly dormant until quite recently and I've been BF4 and BF1-ing. I'm finding BF1 incredibly difficult compared to all previous BF games. I've got 86 games sitting in my Steam library that I just can't be bothered to play, but I know once I start again it'll all come back fine. Ooh, and I finally got rid of my crappy monitor with the thunderfly stuck in it, and a knackered capacitor, now my gaming is 2560x1080 ultrawide and I love it.

Anyway, that's me, I'm back and happy to answer any questions (albeit you might receive a ridiculous replay). Now what's gone on here, someone fill me in on the goss...

Oh come on, you just want to turn that into an excuse to get drunk again.
