As the subject says... I've been away from the game for a few years now due to life and other issues but have recently had my interest rekindled and thought I'd fire the old gal back up.
I had forgotten that SH5 requires an internet connection 24/7 in order to play offline, this was one reason why I gave up on it as my gaming rig is only hooked up to the net in order to download patches via Steam or re-establish my credentials in order to play offline. With Uplay, I can't do this and this seems to still be the case. I did notice that it is now available on Steam and was wondering if there was any legal way of transferring my game from Uplay to the Steam version? I'm highly doubtful this is possible but thought I'd ask. If it is possible, how? Would I need to contact Ubisoft? Thanks for any help you can give!

![]() EDIT: Hmmm, now that I've gotten into it I see that it's about Win 7 and I have Win10 Pro installed and putting the mscomctl.ocx into the C:\Windows\System32 directory still gives me the same error... (that it's missing or there's a problem with it or one of its' components- paraphrasing here) and I can't progress past there. ![]()
