Default A mission/Patrol question.

Probably asked by hundreds but well...

I am on a patrol. I just ransacked Scapa (will post a few images of my spree soon).

Anyway it is an ongoing mission with pending new orders which have not arrived yet cuz Bdu said I had to act as a lone boat. Which I did like a Ninja in the night but it was day.

QUESTION.

In the first mission period (1939-1940) can you just go out on one patrol only and rearm and refuel whenever ? Or do you need to get back to base from time to time ?

I ask this since I did not receive new orders yet nor did I receive a message RTB.

So I am happily restocking and hitting Scapa until the British have no fleet anymore.

Now left : The Rodney and two others who were not in Scapa when I got there.

I am now in the process of sneaking out but the you know what really hit the fan with the admiralty this time.

All marks are destroyers I charted in
( yes I used the external view, I know not full immersion yet, yes yes yes but one day I will play 100% realism )

Air Recon is lovely. (Played too much IL2 CLOD)

So.... basically..... Can I keep restocking and turning Scapa into Iron Bottom Sound until I get orders to RTB ? And if so does that have an effect on my campaign ? I want my Knight's Cross.
