Hi guys,
Mainly a question for the Americans, or those who are good internet searchers - do you know where I could find the coordinates for all the ranges that make up the SOCAL Naval Range complex? Here is the link to what I mean: http://hstteis.com/portals/hstteis_p...ex_OPAREAs.jpg I managed to find, with great difficulty, the WAXA, the Australian equivalent off Australia's west coast - but I don't have the first clue where to look for American NOTAMs / NOTMars, California boating authority, etc.? That might list the coordinates of all the ranges. If I can find the info, I'll try and make a map of the range complex - and release it (I'm working on a map-pack at the moment - hopefully to release shortly) Cheers guys Stewy |

I'm not sure what you mean. The coordinates are seen along the edge of the map in the picture you posted. I created a blank mission of the area depicted you can open in the editor yourself and start adding things, I hope that helps you!
Visit this link and copy the text featured. Paste it into a blank .mu file and give it any name. http://pastebin.com/Ezt003KT You can open it in the editor! Specifically this part: Quote:

Thanks Rentacow,
Yes, I know I could 'guess' the coordinates of all the ranges - but I was looking for a list of the coordinates for all of the marked training ranges - W291, TMA-P6, etc... I'm still looking too. In Australia the Aviation authority publishes the coordinates of military ranges - including Navy ranges. But I'm not sure how the Americans do it. I've tried to navigate the California NOTAMS website - but can't seem to find them. Thanks for your help though ![]() Stew |

The exact coordinates might not be published anywhere. Guessing may be the best way to go. I would be glad to help you out creating a map with the areas marked.
Here I have added a few TMA areas and some neutral ships to track or be incorporated into a training mission. A simple beginning: http://pastebin.com/0sCN0rQD Suggested for use with the RA mod. Adding too many map lines may cause instability. I'm really not sure what to expect. ![]() Last edited by rentacow; 09-08-16 at 02:52 AM. |

Thanks Rentacow for that info - and sorry for the delayed reply (work is nuts!)
I managed to find the coordinates of the SOAR - which is the ASW range - here: http://www.scisland.org/schedules/sa...e/days/13.html This is the Navy website of the range complex - but you need a Navy login to see the details of the website. http://www.facsfacsd.navy.mil/facsfacinst-3120.html If you wanted to work together - I'll try and DL your map and add in what I can find - it'll probably take me a week just because of work.. Cheers Rentacow, Stew |

Here is an update to that mission which I have also posted to the mission designers forum, which has some objectives to complete and a briefing too.
Copy the mission data from this link and paste into a blank .mu file: EDIT: Fixed a silly bug to allow for full multiplayer functionality! Also dynamic starting locations for the enemy's and you! http://pastebin.com/m2ww3Sta In a few days when I have time I will add dynamic starting locations for all units and eventually some further objectives to fully use the area.
