Hi all.
I am experimenting with AI to be more aggressive in the game. I have my modified IRAI_0_0_29 in which I have spent countless hours for the AI to be more challenging. It is even more brutal than SH3 AI, almost impossible to outrun. ![]() But the problem is it only works in single missions, if I use it with WoS 1.5 in campaign game will crash. Now I have thinking modifying some scripts in IRAI_0_0_41 but it is sooooo time-consuming, everytime I change a script I need to wait for about 4-5 minutes for the game to load everything, not to mention that I need to play campaign just to find some DD's to test it. Does anyone have any suggestion how to test AI in campaigns faster? I was thinking is there in save game files a coordinates of a players Uboat? So maybe I can change them to be much closer to enemy ports just for testing? Also any suggestions how to load a game faster for testing? ![]() |

I think that the WoS already have the IRAI so no point to use and probably thats why u get CTD's everytime.

@ Kapizi Yes i know WoS already have IRAI_0_0_41 it's a good AI but...
@ sober thanks, WoS have many great changes in campaign but.. Let me show you guys what i mean if you have some time for a little test mission. Try playing my simple mission called AI TEST MISSION. http://www.filedropper.com/aitestmission First try playing without HARD AI mod with Wos 1.5, I have include shallow water mod if you want to see where is your sub for testing. Then load HARD AI mod it is a modified version of IRAI_0_0_29 and see the difference. (I have spent billion of hours on scripts for this mod ![]() MissionBreifeing: Try to escape the Tribal class destroyer VeterancyLevel - Veteran Doctrine - Aggressive SecondaryEquipment - Middle MainEquipment - Middle TIP: Try with flank speed just to bring his attention and use external camera with arcade steering just to see how smart he is. Then try to go 1 knot with silent speed or stop and he will stop circling around and will ping you and then attack. Or he will stop his engines and wait for you to surface or to fire up your engines. Maybe it will look like its impossible to escape but its not. I strongly recommend using WoS1.5 with this mod. Good luck |

I dont play WOS but i believe you . Anyone who can script is a god send here

Also dont run antilag . If you use antilag and have FPS at 40fps then the game will load at 40fps . Delete the antilag from SH5 folder . Untick the windowed mode and vertical sync setings on the ingame graphics section . exit the game and reload . With the EXE patcher uplay disabled and the above my game takes 30 seconds to be in the campaign from launching from the desktop .
There is a world of difference between using external cam to test the campaign and actually playing 100% difficulty . Load WOS and see how far you get using KSDCommander 100% setings . Load up a new campaign with KSDCommander and i will see how far you get . cheers . |
