Disabling the 3D rooms

Hi there. Old player returning after many years away, just getting into SH4 with the RFB and RSRDC mods. Great to see how much content is available for the game nowadays.

I'm interested in trying out some of the surface ship mods as I was a fan of Destroyer Command back in the day, but the submarine interiors still being there - albeit, yes, ignorable - mess with my suspension of disbelief. So I was thinking, is there a way to disable the virtual interiors (apart from the Bridge, which would look the part given that its on the outside of the model) and have the option of just jumping directly between the various menus as we used to do in SH2?

Not the best way to fix the situation, but perhaps the quickest to get around the whole "I'm still in a sub" jarring feeling when sailing about in an Iowa. Is this possible with some basic text editing? I did a search but came up blank on other posts regarding the matter.
