That would be a great mod! The uboot would be so much more alive. No new models have to be designed, just "copy/paste" the existing ones that more people are on board.

Icon14 more crewmen

what game are you playing would be the first question? but what I do in SH4 pacific wolves- is edit the save file under documents/sh4{or where ever game is saved}/data/cfg/savegames/activeuserplayerunits.upc
I think most mods and games do save at this spot but not real sure, the thing is only edit the save game where you are in port and before you leave port-other words the save where you are outfitting your sub.
you will need to search that file for the proper slots.
one way I do this is find the name of a crewman that is in that department that you want to put more crewmen in, such as "Albert M. Janney" lets say.
he may fill [UserPlayerUnit 1.Compartment 6.CrewMemberSlot 1] which is the team leader-find a crewman in the enlisted slots such as
[UserPlayerUnit 1.Compartment 6.CrewMemberSlot 3] and use that as a filler for empty slots- see the attachment for example- you would need to change the crewmember slot number to what ever slot you are filling, in this example it is 10.
it is a copy and paste operation to do this change to the file, and what I do is save the orginal in a backup folder so if you mess up you can put your orginal back in place.
once I make a change- I save the file -start the game up and load that saved game- check your crew and see if the new guy shows up- if so the close game and continue to fill the slots you want.
as far as I know there is no mods per say and this way isn't real hard, it just takes a little time to do.
if you have any questions, message me and I will try to walk you through it.

Hi sfc

While SH3 and SH4 depending on the mods where you have individual crew members SH5 is totally different and does not use that type of crew arrangement.

With SH5 the crew you have is the crew you can only play with and there is no alternative way round this.

Icon14 this is true

yeah, I don't know the file structure of sh5, but for sh3&4 he should be able to do these.
I may have to get sh5 just to see the differences.
I don't really have a desire to play as a uboat, prefer the pacific but it would be interesting to see the differences.
