Default Periscope depth

in my game at least, the default depth my U-boat will dive to when ordered to "periscope depth" is 11-12 meters.

Is there a way to change that default to 14-15 meters?

When hunting in the day I prefer to have my boat at 14-15 meters and the attack scope about 1-2 metes above the water.

Hi Sandman,

Here's a link to a similar thread that explains how to make the change you want:

Just one point, what you describe may be fine for calm seas but once you start getting high winds you're probably going to regret making this change as your periscope will be obscured a lot more by waves, infuriating with even 12m depth. I find it better to manually adjust the height of the periscope rather than fully extend it.

It only took one T1 eel to convince that boat not to float.

Your absolutely correct.

However, I'm in the Med and there isn't much "bad" weather here as in the Atlantic. And, usually if there is bad weather, at 11-12 meters, its pretty easy for aircraft or DD's to see and find you.

And I have been adjusting the periscope depth, it just gets "old" after a while.

Hi Sandman
Instead of going to periscope you could select to going to snorkel depth.

Careful now, talk like that could be construed as laziness and laziness tends to lead to mistakes, don't let Doenitz hear you talking like that, he'll remove you from command.

Didn't think of schnorkel depth, but it's exactly what you need, lol. Hope you didn't go start editing all those files.....
