Default SHV and its Bugs

I've been away for a while. I originally created the Accurate German medals and flags mod... if you guys remember me. Anyway. I remember the game was plagued by debilitating bugs at release. I'll admit I haven't dug very hard, and just browsed the current mods, but curious if that one bug that made all the torpedoes miss after upgrading the torpedo speed was ever fixed? Any other major bugs fixed?

Just looking for a quick synopsis of the vanilla state of the game before I go an putz around with mods. Also, unsure if anyone knows if anyone still has my mod floating around. I'll want to reuse that and maybe give it an appropriate hosting location.

Silent Hunter III from 2005 bring your game play to 2015 with the
LIVING SILENT HUNTER III EDITION 2015 Mega Mod

The Stock game is as it always has been well bugged. TDW's Generic FIle Patcher has advanced to version 168 and fixes many of the bugs that can be fixed including the ones you mention.
TWOS makes SH5 now very stable and I can highly recommend it for an enjoyable game with or without real navigation.

Hi ual
Yes, I totally agree with you about TWOS.
The future looks bright for this game, and it is amazing how far it has come in such a short time.
Just goes to show what can be done, and achieved when you have an active modder.
