Greetings from new captain

Hi all

New Captain here from South Africa. I've been interested in WW2 aircraft & armour for quite some time, and have recently become very interested in the submarines of the era. Heroic and daring, in relatively unsophisticated subs by today's standards!

I've got SH4 1.5 up and running and registered to download GFO, and all seems to be in order. Just completed my training, and am now attempting some manual TDC. Wish me luck! I'll come back for some mods once I get the hang of the game.

Thanks for the warm welcome all!

Unfortunately, I'm running into problems with the PC locking up- the game doesn't run long enough to get through my manual TDC practice!

Strange thing is that more graphically demanding games like Assetto Corsa and The Witcher 3 run without a hitch, while Euro Truck Simulator 2 did the same thing just last night! So it's neither universal nor an isolated problem, so I have a long night of Memtests and Prime95 ahead of me

I'll also try the 4GB memory patch, maybe my 16GB is a bit much for the game.
