Default RIP Lemmy

http://www.latimes.com/entertainment...228-story.html

Quote:
"There is no easy way to say this…our mighty, noble friend Lemmy passed away today after a short battle with an extremely aggressive cancer. He had learnt of the disease on December 26th, and was at home, sitting in front of his favorite video game from The Rainbow which had recently made it’s way down the street, with his family.

"We cannot begin to express our shock and sadness, there aren’t words."

Damn, such a shame, he was quite the legend.
It might not have been a favourite of his, but dammit if I'm not a fan of the 'Eight of Spades' (). Helluva character, he's going to be missed.

Sad news Neil. Lemmy wrote an autobiography back in 2003, called "White Line Fever". He was a big Beatles fan, and wrote this small bit about them early in their career. Funny stuff about John, just not sure what a Liverpool kiss is though, lol

Just a few short paragraphs is all!

I'd wager it's the local name for a Glasgow kiss, which is a form of communication between Scotsmen. Here it is demonstrated on the American television show Dexter:

Yesterday, we did our yearly sylvester wandering, and there were some archeologists who happen to be Motörhead fans, so we of course spoke about Lemmy.. and while all said that they feared the worst after he left the stage on a recent concert after the sixth piece, he was well up the next time.
All expected he was healthy and ok again, especially for his age, and past.

Next day i hear he just died the day we talked about him.

R.I.P Lemmy.

Glasgow must be the friendliest place on earth, they're world famous for their kisses and smiles!

Somehow in my silly mind I found it funny reading archaeologists
being Lemmy fans: "Hey we found this mummy - we think he was some ancient god of music. He was in remarkeble good shape, being preserved by a strange brown fluid and incense sticks."

I'll also honor him in my New Years Eve tradition, will include Motorhead in my Karaoke songlist and have a drink on him.
