Default Wakeless torpedo

I have no idea what I did but now I have wakeless Mark-14 torpedoes...Our rice propelled enemies are gonna really catch hell now!!

Do you mean that you can't see the torp wake, or that the Japanese cannot see the wake?

Seriously, I have no idea what governs the AI detection of torpedoes.

I did some tests some time ago, and found even 'poor' quality merchant crews could detect a steam wake on a very dark night. This made no sense to me, and figured it was unfixable.

I just finished my first patrol and went home with over 93,000+ tons racked up...All of my targets( Nippon maru's,kiturns.and Hori maru's gave no indication of hearing or seeing anything...The torpedo running depth was 15-20 ft,range to targets 1800-2850 yards speed setting was high speed..If you go under water and follow the torpedo you will see a faint stream of bubbles,but no trace on the surface...Now you little slant eyed rice propelled jerks...Eat torpedoes...

In tmo 2.5 sound folder I took out the (torp tga) 256 kb...I have also done more testing..In bad weather at 18 ft depth and high speed the targets only react when the 1st torpedo hits..In calm weather at 10+ ft depth they seem to react the same at high speed but on low speed they just travel on...At least those that can..
