I have 2 Pc's with SH4 installed on it. One PC is a Win-7 with SH4-1.5 (Ubisoft download) and the other is a Win-8.1 with SH4 1.4 (Steam) and a SH4 1.4 (Original CD). I'd like to know if there is any way to play a LAN game with them. Both PC's are connected to the same DSL router.
Using that network I can play many games as a LAN. I see the LAN option on the SH4 Mp menu. I can create and play a LAN game but I can't seem to see how to connect to a game I created from another PC. Another ? Is there a dedicated server option for SH4? |

Yes
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . They both must be running the exact same game version and I would use 1.5 for both. they also must have the exact same mod order. Then it is a simple matter of going into the multiplayer aspect of the game and adding the correct information for server and client.

!Thank's for Your Help.
Can a SH5 LAN or MP from UBI connect to a SH5 LAN or MP from Steam? Or do they both have to be from the same vendor? P.S. I find that most MP games need the same files on each system. Some MP games will download the missing files from the host server to the client. |

it shouldnt matter as long as everyone has the right dlc/add ons or mods and it just boils down to connecting to the ip like i play defiance from Glyph and my friends downloaded it from Steam but we can still play.
