Another one that surprises me because I thought he was already long gone.
I was never a Ditko fan. In fact, while my best friend was all about the new Marvel Age I remained a tried and true DC fan, mainly because I thought Curt Swan's art was more "realistic". I didn't like Ditko's round faces and tons of teeth. That was then. These days I can appreciate what I missed then, that he was one of the true great pioneers of comic art. That doesn't mean I've become a fan - I haven't. That said, I can still appreciate his contribution to the world of fantasy.

R.I.P.!
Saw the news yesterday and today with Spider-Man over the subsim logo, thought that was a good homage! Quote:
Funny, for me Steve Ditko was always squared faces, at least in Marvel. Last edited by Rhodes; 07-08-18 at 04:07 PM. |
