I'm running a type VIIC out of Lorient, it's mid October of '41, so I decide to switch to the 23rd flotilla so I can operate out of the med. I get my transfer request done, it says "Base changed to Brest" and I start the mission. When it loads, my boat is sitting a few hundred nm south of Takoradi with a full load of fuel and ordinance.....did the Germans have some sort of teleportation device they forgot to keep using?

Obviously not, but SH3 has - I found myself sitting in the selfsame spot a couple of months ago, immediately after a base change. I think I fixed it by teleporting back to base (return to base) from the last save point in the last mission (normally never done by me), and going through the "in base" procedure all over again.

Hello,
I remember a thread about this same bug from a few months ago. Your save file's corrupted in a way that's caused it to "forget" your boat's position, so to speak. When you load the corrupted save file, the game places your boat at 0 degrees latitude and longitude (off the coast of Ghana) by default. If you load a previous, uncorrupted save file that can solve the problem. |
