Default Don't worry-Black Holes are Harmless Holograms

That what a Mr Samir Mathur, professor of physics at The Ohio State University say.

I haven't been near a blach hole or an expert on this, maybe he's right who knows.

Quote:
The fuzzball theory instead is derived from string theory and suggests that black holes are actually spheres, made up of cosmic strings, with a definite volume and not a single point in space. The event horizon, or edge, of the black hole wouldn't be exactly defined. Instead, it would be "fuzzy". Like a fuzzball.

I would opine that there is a lot we don't know about what is commonly called a black hole. It might be a very long time before technology exists that would allow us to learn more about what ever it is... or is not.

Its all theory though until proven it means nothing. Well besides here is my theory so that I can justify my salary.

I guess it will be nothing but theory-that until we one day in the future can travel to a black hole-if that day ever come that's another question.

I my self found the article very interesting.

I am rather more inclined to stick with Einstein, who said that black holes will turn your body into a very long piece of spaghetti, before causing it to be crushed and then vaporize.

He also said that, as they led to the mysterious fourth dimension, they are also possible wormholes to alternate universes. (Think about that: there's another Subsim group out there. God only knows what would happen if we met.)

wolf_howl15 A black hole...

For all intents and purposes, is nothing more than a gravity well.

The real question is, how did you know I was worried about black holes?
