Hello there,
I have just recently installed SH5 and Wolves of Steel. I was wondering if any of you helpful people could answer some questions for me? 1 - How do I set a specific depth?, I cannot see this anywhere. 2 - Can I do anything about flooding?, or is it all done automatically? 3 - What is a good method for escaping destroyers that are searching for you?, I spent the last two nights trying to get away from a couple of Polish ones - it didnt end well... thanks ![]() |

1: This depends on what UI you are using. There should be a depth bar/gauge you can click for specific depths to 25m. Holding SHIFT will change that same bar to "deep depths" so you can choose depths to 250+m. 2: You can ask your CE to use ability "reduce flooding time" and if his morale is good and he is not injured he will comply. Other than that, and maybe being at battlestations and also using his "more crew to damage control" there is not much more you can do to battle flooding. 3. This might not be the latest version but it's the best. SH AI Explained It's for SH3/4 but trust me all the basic principals are the same. |

excellent!, thanks
![]() upon reading that webpage, I now understand why running at max speed at 60metres wasn't working. I wasnt able to come to a stop without sinking fast, I'm assuming it was the flooding causing this. Last edited by jangles; 05-08-15 at 08:31 AM. |

If you click Ctrl, it should toggle the left-most vertical command menu to a depth gage that you can click on to specify a depth. Unfortunately as I recall you don't get the full range of depth options, only a window. Quote:
Also you supposedly can click on the Chief icon at the bottom of the screen, and then from his shortcuts click on the hammer icon, which should activate the damage control team. But generally when I click on this is highlights but when you go back to this command it is off again. I don't know why. Quote:
Then the game crashed. ![]() Steve |
