Okay, I HAVE To Own This Book
It's not due out until May 2014, but I think this jumped right to the top of my "must own" list:
 In all seriousness, Peter Goodwin's "manual" on the HMS Victory is pretty nice, and even includes step-by-step instructions on repairing a capstan, tacking into the wind, raising anchor, and so on. He's a former Polaris submariner, so I'm really hoping this book goes into all kinds of detail only "we" can appreciate. |
