Our enemy counterparts

I am curious. In the stock SH4, v1.4, and with no mods other than OTC for 1.4, am I going to run into a Japanese I-boat before this thing ends? We all know what type of enemy vessels we are up against but a Japanese sub isn't in the ONI ship directory. That's an interesting omission.

Nope. Not in the stock game. They were in the original Silent Hunter, but got left out of four. Some of the mods incorporate them, but usually just at anchor in harbor. All I know is in all the time I've played SH4, I've never run into one on the high seas.

I did command one briefly, in a mod.

There is a mod for it HERE.

I don't know if it will work in v1.4, or how one would go about getting it into the campaign.
