Default Why o' why

Hi all,
Say, does this happen to you on your way back to home port, too?
You're out of ammo.
You're out of torpedoes.
And the enemy is popping up everywhere.
Hardly ever saw the enemy on the way to my mission but on the way back... They're everywhere, they're everywhere!

You should take out their scouts and fishing boats... As is now.. they radio in you're leaving or have left and shipping continues.

That's a programed feature in the "Dynamic Campaign". The game actually weighs several different factors in producing specific occurrences during a patrol. It takes into account your torpedo supplies, remaining fuel, sustained damage (hull or equipment) and modifies the percentage of occurrence based on them. Yes, it's a cruel world when you won't see a fat convoy or Task Force until you're so depleted in supplies, or strength, that you can do little about it!! It's actually programed into the Campaign game.

Oh, I'm very aggressive. I chase the enemy down. I don't have the patients to wait like you guys do.

Nope, only takes a half tank to get to the Japanese area and back again which leaves me a half tank to play around with.

I have sort of the opposite trouble, i run out of torps before i get to my patrol area, then have to go back to Midway to refit then get about half to 3/4 back to my area and its back to Midway again.

I left my home port of Brest and never made it half way to Halifax ... I hit three convoys. After each I went to the nearest port for a refit to reload and went right back out again.

We had about 80,000 tonnes under us before I decided the crew needed some good beer and went home.
