As you guys know I spend a lot of time travelling, this weekend my friend and I decided to take a trip to Portsmouth and Gosport museums.
The highlight of the trip was HMS Alliance of course she is worth a visit and is located in Gosport, of course so close to Portsmouth (literally a stone throw) we did view HMS Victory (the oldest commissioned warship in the world) and HMS warrior. There are too many pictures taken so chose a few to show you some of the views, Here is some shots taken both yesterday and today from these museums on the south coast of England, but I also have a question: Here is my friend Jo he is 5ft 9in weighs 116kg (18 1/2 stone) who thinks we had to call the fire service to get him out of that bell? (that hatch is just 12inch in diameter !) ![]() Target acquired fire 1 ![]() A view of the sail of HMS Alliance ![]() She is over 200 years old and still in commission and still flying the White ensign with pride ![]() So if you want to leave comments on the pictures please do always open to ideas, critics and banter just click the link on the pictures subhunter611 to view them all enjoy people
