USS Trout (SS-202) is a time machine!!!

So, I'm in port ready to depart on my next patrol. It's 10 Jan 1944. I'm stationed in Pearl and head out to my mission assignment. A few days out, I get a radio message that the Japanese had taken Guadalcanal and wishing me a Happy 4th of July!

Confused, I look on the plotting map and it's telling me that it's 4 July 1942!!

How in the world did my little submarine travel through time??? Depth-charges create a wormhole or something? lol
