Default 4 kills, over 100k tons of ship!

Well, I was on a patrol in late 1942 (wanna say August-ish) and was ordered to go to an area around New Guinea.

I get there and get a message to go and do what I do best, Captain autonomy and all that. So, I'm looking at my map and notice that Truk isn't too far away, so I say "What the hell" and head to Truk.

I approached from the South, but I wanted to hit the docks, so I went around the west and came in from the North West. Periscope depth is pretty much scraping bottom over there, so I'm on pins and needles hoping I don't run aground.

I get within about 2NM of the dock and pop my periscope. Not much in port. Damn.

So, I do a 360 and see if anything is around.

Off in the distance, I spot a few ships. I lock on and get closer - holy hell, it's the Yamato, Hiryu fleet carrier, a few Heavy Cruisers and assorted other ships!

Suffice to say I shoot off every single torp I have. Hiryu went down with 4, one of the Heavy Cruisers went down with one (spectacular), another Heavy Cruiser went down with 2 torps (the last two I fired) and... Yamato went down as well but took about 8 I think.

I had a couple run circular (that was a terrifying moment... twice!) and one gyro just went nuts and sped off in the other direction, but here's the amazing part - NO DUDS (and yes, they are turned on in the realism settings). I was floored they all exploded - I did make the call to put them ALL on impact detonators instead of magnetic. Mostly as I was in very shallow water and didn't think there was room to run them below and not hit the sea floor.

No destroyers or aircraft ever appeared - so I went down periscope and ran like hell, giddy until I made it back to Port. I was awarded the Silver Star for my 101k tons.

Not a bad patrol.

Indeed they do! I decided not to this mission. Besides, I had no idea they'd be there.

As for mods, yes - I'm using TMO with the ISP and... something else I can't recall. I think it's the environment mod.
