After a hiatus from the game and this forum, the cold grey Atlantic has called me back.

I did some tweaking of mods and added Stiebler's hardcode fixes to h.sie's and thought I had it working. But when I thought I had everything to my liking and tried to start a career, I kept getting CTD's. I think something got corrupted because it was working the last time I played.

I finally decided to do a completely fresh install and use the opportunity to clean up things in my SH3 folders- get rid of old, unused mods, skins, and other junk.

I've been thinking of doing this for some time. I got a new computer a few months ago so the opportunity presented itself and I took the plunge the other day.

I've been systematically going through a clean up and a re-install as time permits while I'm off for the holiday.

Good luck, and Merry Christmas!

I just got back into this game after a long hiatus myself, and am glad I took the time to reinstall it and finally get it working, then mod it properly.

Could possibly be caused by stieblers cam ship mod. Check the rtf and there's info about it

I just barely got a new computer for Christmas, so I'll be jumping back into the SH series, and especially SH3, after several years off myself.
