I know GWX has the western approaches shifting southward during the winter months, so i alter my hunting appropriately.
but for some reason, no matter what i do, throughout the month of December in 1939, the North Atlantic seems to be completely bereft of any convoy activity. In every career, i always find and sink one or two lone merchants in December of 1939, but even if i stay in the approaches for upwards of the entire month of December - specifically in the year 1939 - there is absolutely no convoy activity to be located whatsoever. In September, October and November i encounter convoys routinely and engage them with a lot of success but they just go phantom in December. Is there some sort of "regroup" or shift in strategy that is simulated in GWX that im not aware of? anyone else run across the December '39 dry spell?

Aye, i have noticed that too. Thought maybe it was because of where i was. Tried searching in the Hebridean Channel, nowt exept for a couple of ASW boats.

I'd agree with that. There's little worse than watching a convoy or two steam by while all your torpedoes are in external bays.
