Default DECKS AWASH

Hi Guys
I have been watching Schaefers videos and I notice that he is using a DECKS AWASH icon with TDW TDC 7_4_2. Apart from the changing the patch in TDW'S GP what do I need to do to get this to work?

Sorted! You just select 8 metres from the advanced depth gauge.

In New UI's there is a specifical button for ordering deck awash depth, without having to select 8 meters each time. The button is hidden by default. You must activate it through TDW's Option Viewer/editor, for it to show up

Hi Gap
Thanks for the reply.
Can you point me in the right direction as to where I might find this TDW Option Viewer Editor please?

Hi Volodya61
Thanks for your information. Decks awash now on an icon.
Can the options file editor be changed from the mods file with TDW mod enabled or does the mod have to be disabled first through JSGME before you can make changes?
To set up a new change do you do it the same as setting it up for the first time, by this I mean do you still set the path to the menu.txt and the SH5 main folder?

Option file can be changed in any way, whether the mod is enabled or disabled it doesn't matter.. but don't forget, if you'll make changes when the mod is enabled then all the changes will be canceled when you disable the mod..

No, I don't set the path each time I make changes..

Berbster,

Did you see you can set a depth pre-set for the decks awash button?

Hi lodebeard
Yes the default setting is 7 metres. I only tested it quickly and I am sure that the propulsion was changed from diesel to batteries. If so I will need to order a change back to diesel.

I believe the setting to change in this case may be the one which delays the engineer from switching power plants. This way heavy sees will not trick your engineer into shutting down the diesels when you are decks awash. I may be wrong though - I'm still a newb!

I roleplay that my crew has alzeheimer .. therefore I trust on my instruments. Even tho tat poor sap is telling me he switched to electric, I happen to know for a fact that he can not crank 14 knots out of those .. so I just ignore him, smile and nod.

Old thread, but ...

I can't find this options setting to reveal the button. Where is it in options and where is it on screen afterwards? Even though I order decks awash through speech recognition, it's good to know I can do it via mouse clicks as well when I want to.

Thanks ..
