Default Who was at the UBI Community Day for SH3

It is a while now and I cannot remember who was there and if they are still around. If you was there where are you in the pictures?

http://www.silent-hunteriii.com/uk/communityday.php

I am the completely bold one near the big screen with nice head scarr trying to look like a critic but really thinking about what goodies I might have got.

After spending £80 on travel I got a recognition mag but a smug warm feeling knowing that people were waiting for news lol.

I wonder if I will make it to the SH4 community day?

Hey mate.......I just found this post while doing a search for the pics of that day. Sadly your link just takes you to the Ubisoft site now and I can't find the photo's anymore

Anyway.....I seem to remember I was sat right next to you on the day!!!

I ended up with a SH3 memory stick which I still use now! and Neal promoted me for posting on the forums all our findings of the day

Happy day's..................

Default Silent Hunter Conventions

This might be a bit off topic , but its something I been meaning to ask and this thread kinda reminded me . When I first joined up here at SUBSIM about 5 or more years ago , I remember reading about Silent Hunter conventions . I think one was in Texas and the other in Germany or Denmark or something . I can't remember now . But anyway , are these conventions still occurring on any regularity ?

There have been many SubSim meetings over the years. I tried finding the article on past meetings, but sometimes they hide from me. There was a meeting in Amsterdam, and one in London, neither of which I remember the dates. There was a meeting in Houston sometime later, and another in 2008, which I managed to attend. There was one in Copenhagen in 2009, and a meeting without Neal in Massachussets in 2010 (hosted by August). This year there was the meeting in York, again without Neal.
