Widescreen Support for SHIII GWX

Hello everyone. Haven't played this game in years, so I'm hoping to catch up on the community developments. I've installed the GWX expansion, but can't figure out how to enable the widescreen option. I noticed on this forum that there is something called "Living Silent Hunter" which lists this option. Have I missed something? Is GWX passé, and have we moved on to LSH?

I haven't been able to get widescreen in LSH, at least not without stretching the picture (wich just looks wrong). So I just play with black bars at the sides.

Depending on your monitor, there are a couple of WS alternatives.

At 1360x768 Z(1366x7768 for some), there are Rubini's and CONUS's widescreen mods, and Widescreen MaGUI.

If you have a 1920x1080 monitor, there's Ahnenerbe's.

All will work well with GWX. BTW, far from being passé, GWX is still the most widely used megamod.

Don't overlook NYGM. (My preferred megamod.) Van's 1920x1080 is made for it.

I don't know what will work with LSH3, although I am pretty sure there's a MagUI version for it. AFAIK, neither of the HD mods works with LSH. I suspect that will change as soon as LSH3 v6 is released.

And don't fail to look at h.sie's and Stiebler's patches. In terms of all the depth they add to the game, they are a "pocket megamod" all by themselves.
