How much money do they need to get this game out in a finished state? They have taken in $60 million or is this article just worth nothing!?!

It has reached 5% or $62,000,000 of the new goals.

Think their original goal was someting like 21 million to have all the major features they initally wanted for the game. Everything past that allows for more features to be added.

Their original base goal was just 0.5 million if you look on kickstarter.

People just can't seem to stop throwing money at this. But then if you look at the ship costs, it is easy to see why. Frankly I think the prices are just outrageous. I also think they really need to stop with the stretch goals, as I really question if they will be able to do half the stuff they claim.

Of course they have been real busy adding new expensive ships. Which is the irony, as many of the stretch goals have been a new ship (for the real world price of 1 million, which you then get to buy for anywhere from 60-400+ USD).

Hangar and Arena are finished but the most of the game is missing.

- First Person Shooter
- Squadron 42
- Persistent Universe
- Planetside

I think to get it the community must spend much more dollars.

I didn't know why a new ship costs 1 Mio Dollar

Look at the stretch goals, a number of them have been "new ship class x" if we raise another million dollars from sales.

Anyways they don't need more money, and they should really stop adding stuff and focus on the core game or it will never get made. What they need now is time, a lot of time if they are going to hit every goal. The game right now I would say is less than 5% complete.
