Hi there!!
Just bought DW a couple days ago via Steam. I made a more extensive post about this in the RA/DWX discussion forum here >> http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...postcount=1397 .. so I'll just make a quick rundown of this, as I thought a new thread might be more visible for others with mod-installation problems ![]() The short of it is this: Dangerous Waters is supposed to have a directory structure like this: ..\Dangerous Waters\Audio\sfx However, the Steam install has this: ..\Dangerous Waters\Audio\aggie This caused problems installing RA/DWX, as well as a couple sound mods. I'm betting it would also cause issues with the other big mods. I fixed this as follows: I simply renamed ..\aggie to ..\sfx for the install of the mod, then named it back to ..\aggie Everything now works correctly (I had no sound in the 3D view, and no sound in the intro movie without doing this ... probably other missing sounds as well that I didn't notice) except that I still have no sound in the intro movie -- which is clearly a very negligible problem. ![]()
