So I fired up SH4 recently, realized my last save game was over a year ago.
![]() The boat would not go to silent running (TMO2.5 and RSRD). The button would highlight if clicked. The officer would report 'rig for silent running' if either the button or key was pressed. But we would not go to silent running. And we would keep getting DC'd. Figuring I was maybe just rusty from being away, I un-installed all mods, downloaded TMO2.5wtw, and installed that. Started a new career. Now I'm being DC'd again, ordered my crew to silent running. They said "yes sir" and continued loading those torps and banging things with wrenches. I'm at slow speed, what else? |

The only time I have that problem is when I alt/tab in and out of game, but it corrects with a save and reload....

You, sir, are still a genius!
That was it. I had gotten spoiled by other games and was alt-tabbing at will. |

Just as an FYI, this is usually because your crew wont come "off watch" on the deck when you go underwater due to Alt-tabbing. They stand on the deck no matter the depth of the water and stop you going to silent running.
