Doubts about installing the emblems and the new equipment upgrades
I try installing the "A Fistful of Emblems v1.51" before the "Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_byTheBeast" like the instructions says in the readme but there nothing happends, only the original emblems... i decide to unistall the Emblems pack till know how to install it correctly.
Also have the doubt about the "Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_byTheBeast" before installing the new config of mod im using right now, when i was in the sub pen i can found all the upgrades available to install (deck guns, rear guns, snorkel, decoys, antena) Not now... so i have the doubt that maybe can be that they dont appear cause the time line of "Equip Upgrade Dates" did't reach the correct Date of development, if not cause of that, i have no clue what can be done wrong.... i apreciate if someone can give me a boost over these two mods.. The upgrade mods require the AFFOE variants to be installed AFFOE gets installed before the upgrade AFFOE (search n check) Think they're on the dl site here still

I found whats going wrong why the equipment upgrades improvements, after i remove this "Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_Patch_1 (available by date) V9 by sober" all the equipment stuff appear in the sub-pen.
THEBERBSTER is helping me to find what going wrong with the AFOE emblems cause they are missing, only the stock embems. I already try like he suggest me but is not working. As Defiance said, FFOE needs the variants. It's installed after all four EUF mods and patches (five if you add EUF FX).
If I understand you correctly regarding not seeing the emblems, with the new OHII version, the campaign begins in Memel on August 31st. Therefore, any upgrades or emblems available on September 1st and later won't be seen when you start, but would of course be available after you dock again. FFOE emblems, TheBeast's EUF emblems, and the contest emblems that came with the game are all set to start on September 1, 1939, which probably correlated with the old vanilla campaign start dates. If you look in UpgradePacks.upc located in ...\data\UPCDataGE\UPCUnitsData, you will see the line for those emblems (and any upgrade):- UnitUpgradePackIntervalOptions1=1939-09-01, NULL, 0 This date will of course be different depending on the upgrade. It can also have NULL instead of the date, which I figure means it's available immediately. So if you want to do a little test, edit UpgradePacks.upc for any of those emblems and change the dates for one or more of them in the line noted above so that it reads: UnitUpgradePackIntervalOptions1=1939-08-30, NULL, 0 or any date earlier than this, or: UnitUpgradePackIntervalOptions1=NULL, NULL, 0 Then activate the mod and start your campaign. As soon as you get in, if there is already an auto-save for the campaign, reload it so you save yourself a walk to the supply guy, because usually his first two options are greyed out. After you reload, go see the supply guy and check to see if those emblems are available to you. If they are, then you know it's all good. Disable the mod, change any or all the others you want in your final version, enable the mod, and then start your new campaign. The UpgradePacks.upc that you edit must be the last one loaded and should have all the info that's in the previous UpgradePacks.upc files. Regarding Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_Patch_1 (available by date) V9 by sober, I think I read that sober was going to do one to contain FFOE, but I'm not sure if he did it already, so you may have to do some merging of UpgradePacks.upc files if you need to (WinMerge is a good tool for this). IIRC, if all EUF mods, including the sober file, are installed in the correct order, upgrades should be available in their correct dates, although the historical accuracy of these dates is apparently still being debated. ![]() The order that the emblems are seen is dependent upon their order in UpgradePacks.upc, so if you have a favorite that you want on top and don't want to scroll through all of them to find it, swap it out with the second emblem in the file, ensuring that numbering is correct for the [UpgradePack XX] line, where XX will be the order number in the file. The first should be the empty emblem listed as "This captain needs no emblem", so leave that as it is. If there's anything I've missed or am wrong about, maybe someone can remedy that with a post. ![]() Btw, I was thinking that you can always leave stuff as it is and know that after you finish the first mission, the new upgrades and emblems will be available to you, kind of like a reward for coming home alive after your first "green" mission. ![]() |
