NP-100 missing something...

I just finished going thru the entire NP100 Fleet Submarine manual from 1946 and I noticed a major omission. Unless I passed something up a little fast other than a few pictures there really was nothing regarding the use of the attack periscope and the TDC. I was trying to reference something Beach's Run Silent Run Deep that I just read regarding periscope targeting and the TDC but couldn't find anything in the NP100 to see what they were talking about.
Does anybody have a reference that gives operational details of the fleet sub attack periscope and TDC.
