SH3 Editing for awards.

Is there any way of converting renown into tonnage for example, you sink a 3000 ton ship therefore you get 3000 renown points so when you sink 100000 tons you receive the knights cross instead of on points basis on which GWX runs at the moment I think, I usually cheat a bit for awards as I used to sink over 100000 tons and only be awarded the IC 1st class and have to edit it in my patrol log but I was wondering if I can edit the renown points somehow to make it work automatically ?
