Default double check - resolution and targetting

Hi there,

I finally got SH3 GWX working on my win8 machine and i'm doing a career with 2nd flot for old times sake. cant wait to grab me a type IX to cruise with while i get to grips with SH5 megamods and gameplay.

god it's so good to be back in the control room with the red lights and bell which rings way way too loud and the horribly outdated crew graphics and the GWX experience which is oh so finely tuned to perfection.

now here's the thing: My huge ass monitor is set at 1920/1080 and the game runs in its usual 4:3 aspect. Its a little silly, the scope is elliptical and ships look a little bit 'off' from what i was used to but its no biggie, cant find a setting in my nvidia control panel or in the .exe properties, apparently there is a 16:9 mod but I don't mind too much.

except: when plotting all the values SHOULD be true, even if it doesnt look like 90 degrees on my screen due to stretching, if it says 90 degrees it's 90 degrees, right? all 30 something torpedoes i fired so far have all been slightly off. without exception they were aimed just slightly too far ahead.

Is it just me being a little rusty with my aim or does this actually make sense to my favourite online community?

I'm really curious
