So on my conquest to mod my latest Steam version of SH5, I've received help from a few great individuals. My quest was one of 2 things: more torpedoes, and better equipment from the start. My solution: Sort of IX mod.
My SH5 is updated as Steam updates automatically, and my version of JGSME is v2.6.0.157 So here are the step by step of what I've done thus far: -installed JGSME inside c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Silent Hunter 5 -I put a shortcut of JGSME onto the desktop -When I open the Generic Mod Enabler, it shows my mods to be located at c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Silent Hunter 5\MODS - I downloaded the Sort of IX mod and it gave me a zip file, which I placed in my MODS folder and (with my windows 7), did "extract here". It placed a folder within MODS called IX BOAT MOD All TYPE 1 STEAM. - So now I have .....MODS\IX BOAT MOD All TYPE 1 STEAM\data\Submarine. Within the \Submarine folder, it's empty. There are no files within the \Submarine. - I open the desktop shortcut of Generic Mod Enabler, and under Available Mods it shows the IX BOAT MOD All TYPE 1 STEAM. - I select it and click enable selected mod - IX BOAT MOD All TYPE 1 STEAM is now under Activated Mods With that, I start my SH5 and that I'm already docked at my homebase, I 'Continue Campaign' and nothing is different. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. What am I doing wrong???? Last edited by ONealmr; 11-16-13 at 10:58 AM. Reason: stated version of mod enabler |
