GWX3 mod installment issue

OK . I've got SH3 v1.4 fresh installation , never run , and downloaded GWX3 and associated files .
I try and install GWX3 and it keeps telling me it's encountering mods .
Can someone tell me what to look for ? I don't have the CD for SH3 .

I have Windows 7 .

Have you pointed it to the correct install folder?
Say you put SH3 in C:\Ubisoft for example.
The installer looks elsewhere by default but you have the chance to select the install path.

Thank you . Solved . The destination folder was different than where GWX3 wanted to install it . I was getting confused as to why it was telling me I had mods .

When I wrote the installer we didn't have this issue as Windows 7 wasn't out then.

I just opened it and don't know why I didn't pull the trigger on getting this mod sooner . Lots of new stuff !!!!!!!

Now that I have GWX3 and it is running , I have tried to download the manual for it but am getting a 404 . Anyone have a viable source for it ?

You should have a shortcut to the manual on your desktop after you install GWX. The manual comes with the mod. If you don't have a shortcut on your desktop check your start menu. There should be one there.

I bought SH3 about 2 years ago for my laptop off steam and I've not stopped playing it since. I've always wanted this GWX3 mod but i'm not the greatest with computers and I have also I've read through forums and there is a lot of people who have problems installing it... so I put it off.

Bought a new pc a while ago and today I thought I'd have a go at getting this mod to work.
So I've installed the new copy off steam never played before on this pc. I've read that steam patches it to 1.4 and I've been on the game to check and it says 1.4 in the corner. I then downloaded the installation files it says It has detected mods but I have none. I've tried to move it to another file where the installation program is in and it says the same thing.

I'm confused and need your help!
