Default European Space Agency's Goce satellite falls to Earth

A good thing this burned up as it re-entered the Earths atmosphere

Quote:
The European Space Agency's (Esa) Goce satellite has re-entered the Earth's atmosphere, burning up in the process.
US tracking data suggests any surviving debris fell into the South Atlantic, just off the tip of South America, south of the Falkland Islands.
Dubbed the "Ferrari of space" because of its sleek looks, Goce is the first Esa mission to make an uncontrolled re-entry in more than 25 years

Nah, Argentina would have sued us under the Outer Space Treaty.

So it didn't really fall to Earth, right?

Just returned to the atmo where it burned up.

Haven't seen data so can't say how likely that would have been. That previously good newspaper has sometimes recently made its best to beat Daily Fail in sensationalism.
