Default Herc video

This video was made in the mid-'90s by someone on 70 Sqn, my mate first showed me it in about 2000 and was assured it wouldn't be released into the public domain because there may be 'one or two rules broken'. Most of it is made up from all four Herc sqns at Lyneham (at the time!), with one or two from other nations (namely the skit at the end). I'm guessing none of the pilots are still serving hence it's turning up again.

Bear with it, I know it's poor quality but still some great footage of low level and some maldrops (air despatch gone wrong!).

Apart from the image quality and crappy soundtrack that was a cool video.

Another one, haven't watched it yet.

Edit: I've watched it now, better quality, better music, not as low and not as broken.

Now I'm clearer on the reason we have so few military vehicles

Until the dropbox recovers, here's an old vid of some maldrops, US style.

My favourite is the jeep that broke free and had an urgent appointment elsewhere!

Something you ain't suppose to do on a Herc.

How I wish we had small video recorders back in my days!
I saw a JM sucked out the side door the same way once.

It would get a bit embarrassing filling out the 'Unauthorised Departure from Aircraft' report once they circled round and picked you up again.

That's why everyone should carry on them the balloons for, and the aircraft should have, the Fulton Recovery System!

Saw it in action at Alconbury airshow in the early '90s.

Nothing quite like going fishing with an aircraft!

That system was based off the WWII system.
There they stuck a couple poles in the ground and a hook grabbed a line strung up between the poles.
