Its getting so bad, they had to close the airport , schools, etc. Wait until you see the picture! It looks like heavy fog, but its smog!

One of the few benefits (besides cheaper prices) of exporting our industrial base. If there are blue skies above you it might be because your local smokestacks got exported too.

The real reason why the air in North America and Western Europe is cleaner in my opinion is not due to the EPA and other governments environmental agencies it is simply because the majority of the most polluting factories moved to China and other regulation lax nations.
Thing is pollution does not stay in one countries airspace it can be most heavy I suppose do to local weather patterns.China has in the past 10 years or so become much more strict with environmental laws of course their government is rife with corruption.Interesting side note is that China has been heavily investing in African nations for about 20 years now.The reason why should be obvious. |

That's pretty impressive, that will have killed quite a few people, our '52 smog managed to kill somewhere between 4,000 to 12,000 people in a period of four days.

I don't know how you would protect yourself from that, even inside your own home!

You cant really with out some sort of way to seal yourself off.One thing for sure China will have to find something other than infantry to rely on during a war.At the current rate the next generation of warriors will be wheezy with asthma.

Maybe China should outsource the manufacturing of stack cleaners and scrubber?
