I need a hydrophone fix for the Steam version

Thread title. My hydrophone refuses to work (it worked at the beginning of the game, that's the worst part.). I think the Hydrophone ability point upgrades broke it.

I have the steam version of the game. The patcher doesn't work for me.

I searched for the hex address provided for the fix, and that address doesn't contain a byte of 75.

If someone could either tell me the proper hex address to edit, or send me a fix, I'd appreciate it. Playing the game without a hydrophone is extremely frustrating.
