I don't whether anyone's noticed.

I was making changes to the camera.dat and noticed SD3 was adding extra data. The data is the same, so they must be some type of filler data.

To check it out I copied 2 camera.dat files from GWX3 and compared them with winmerge, identical.
Then opened one up in SD3 and saved it without changing anything.The header was changed as to be expected, but all through the file, extra filler data was added according to winmerge. This showed up many differences with compare.

To get over this problem of using winmerge compare, I now load up the camera.dat files I'm workimg with in SD3 and save them without alterations.
Then I work with these new camera.dats, makes comparing with winmerge a lot easier as only the data differences are shown. Instead of showing lots of crap data as well.
