As a fan of stand up comedy I wish the best for the fella.

He has a name here in the States as well. He has been on a radio show I listen to a few times, and is comedy gold. I watched him at Carolines in NYC back in the day.

This man is world famous, best of luck to him.

Hard to think that the Big Yin is the big seven zero, but he's still going strong, and he has my best wishes for recovery from this surgery and his treatment for Parkinsons. One of my favourite comedians, always gets a laugh from me.

See him in Glasgow quite a lot. Absolutely no airs and graces what so ever. He always seems happy to stop and talk to anyone who says hello to him, and always seems to leave them with a smile. Last time I saw him was about 6 months ago. A bunch of young guys stopped him to say hello. I past them, went to get some stuff out the shop and came past again about ten minutes later and he was still there - had them all in stitches too.

Contrast with Frankie Boyle who I seem to see all the time. Guy always has his hood up, looking like he's terrified anyone might speak to him.

Get well soon Billy.
