Default [REQ]Compatible cameras.dat for MaGUI and new IX U-Boat

Hello,

Does anyone please comaptible "cameras.dat" for MaGui 3.4 and "NEW VERSION OF IXB&IXC Type" mod?

I tested both mods and have this big problem (problem is with "cameras.dat") for gameplay:

1) When I use both mods:



2) When I deactivate the "NEW VERSION OF IXB&IXC Type" mod




3) When I use both mods, but without the "cameras.dat" from "NEW VERSION OF IXB&IXC Type" mod, the IX type U-Boat shows many errors.

Can someone help me make the "cameras.dat" in "NEW VERSION OF IXB&IXC Type" mod compatible with MaGUI 3.4 PLEASE?

I do not use neither of this mods, but if I were you I would try something like that:

Open both cameras.dat with S3ditor. Look for cam_UZO, cam_Obs_Periscope, cam_Periscope, cam_Binocular and maybe Deckgun zoom too.
Take parameters from magui cameras, and edit IX cameras with same value.

Your node numbers (index) are different in those 2 pictures below, which means Magui Camera.dat has more data nodes in it.

I've done a few mod mergers in the past and comparing mod to mod is extremely difficult, if not sometimes impossible. For instance if mod A has a data value 8 and MOD B has a data value 5, which do you change without knowing what it does. But if you compare back to the route data and see value 8, you know the change was done by MOD B and so can change it to 5. A lot easier to compare 2 mods to your route installation i.e SH3 stock or GWX or NYGM and then merge the differences.

New IX U-Boat is a mod for the stock game. MaGUI is a mod for GWX. At this moment, I can't say whether there are any differences between the stock game and GWX Camera.dat, or whether New IX U-Boat mod is compatible with GWX.

If you really want to use the 2 mods you'll have to do it in stages.

First step is to make New IX U-Boat compatible with GWX, using no other mods in the process. When you've done that, you'll have the root GWX to compare the differences between the two mods and then be able to merge them.

P.S. By always comparing each of the mods to the route installation, allows you to merge a great number of mods, that otherwise would be incompatible together.
For instance, it will show if 2 mods both change the same data, Like a node in the Camera.dat. Then you can decide how to change it, so both mods work. This way of merging also make it easier not to miss anything, so a very good chance it'll work first time with no problems or crashes.

The new Type IX is for stock and NOT WORK in GWX. You will have some parts working fine and some stuff not working. I´m doing my own "compatibility fix" for these boats.
