Default Read the craziest thing.

Just finished reading Wolf Pack the story of the U-Boat in WW2 today, there was a section about U-Boat operations in the Caribbean. In the early part of the operations convoy TM1 which was made up of 12 merchant's w/ just 4 escorts, was intercepted by a wolf pack of 12 U-Boats. Since there was only 4 escorts none of them went after an attacked the U-Boats cuz they were worried about leaving a even bigger gap for the wolves to sneak in through, the wolves pretty much shredded the convoy sinking 7 large tankers, but get this at one point a escort signaled a U-Boat that was trailing to convoy "asking it to go away" an the U-Boat signaled back it couldn't, it still had a job to do. That is crazy thought I'd share that one with yall.

Haha. If that's true, that's hilarious.

Did the escorts happen to be French? "GO AWAY OR I'LL GET MAD"

A link to the op would be most helpful.

Here is mine:

Here is U-boat.net's account of the battle, and no such message is mentioned. A link to a source would be nice.

Oh, and all four escorts were British.

Very interesting story.

It's been awhile since I've played SH3 now that I think about it... Haven't been a Grey Wolf since November.

This makes me want to go sink some British shipping. Maybe I'll run into these escorts and they'll ask me to go away instead of shred me to bits like GWX usually does...
