Some Clarificatios

Please be gentle on me, because I have an infection of the gut and the medication for that has me nausiated slightly today and kept me totally off PC yesterday!! I am not a hard core SH sims guy; I like to play multiple games a week. I just get bored with same-old-same-old day after day. Also, I am old guy, who goes back to Avolon HILL die-cuts games, so I can't play for hours & hours. I have to and want to play the games, not expierment & expierment. I have DARKW 7_1_0_0,FX_Update,SUB_hyd fx,TDW_GenericPatcher,OPENHORIZONS II_full v2; plus several torp & crew mods. So, here we go, and thanks in advance;

1) fist, is there a way or mod to change directions when you are above 16xs acceleration?? I run usually at 64xs or 128xs when on patrol; have to constantly slow down to give a new direction(I like to use dials, not clicking on sub & using proctractor). One can surface or dive at any speed, but not alter course.

2).I have a qestion about contacts; I have watched a video by Johnjeremy, the last few days and he constantly is seeing contacts on the surface; now these videos are almost 2 yrs old & he talks about using a mod but I didn't get what. But he sees contacts while on surface, I don't; I have to submerged. I have a mod,SUB_hyd_fixSH5(eventhough it's greyed out). Is that why hydro only works underwater; also because you hard core guys researched & did this??? (this is not a criticism).

3). Also, in one's list within the Mod Enabler, if a mod is greyed out, does that mean some mod abov is overwriting it's content?

4) Is PayPal the only way to make a contribution to site?? I'd like to, but don't want the monthly expense. Can I send a check?? I feel since this site made game playable & enjoyable, I should help.
