quick question

just a quick question fellas...as im limping back to home base after a pretty big battle and mass depth charging and torpedoing...im all out of ammo and torps lol hull is down to 12% and i got some damages...was wondering if i have to go all the way back to kiel or can i go to the nearest friendly port to get my boat repaired?

You must dock at your home port, for a major hull reconstruction.
And after two weeks (Stock game amount) when you set sail once again, your hull will be all patched up.
