Default Anyone know the route the Queen Mary uses in Op Monsun

I have been wondering since I can't find the blasted thing anywhere.(For that matter where in the world are the other two liners at?)

Sorry but I have no idea. I never go "hunting", but try to stay within the parameters of what they actually did.

You might have a look at the Mission Editor.

he tried to make it so you couldn't read a book go to point x and shoot ship y so things are close but not exact to history in order to keep some randomness to the game and not make it completely predictable.

have you tried asking this in the sh4 ATO forum? you might get a better answer over there since OM is for that side of the campaign

I was hoping he would have at least used the historical routes.(I did come across the Empress once but that was towards the end of the war and since she had escorts I couldn't get close.)

he did but he didn't do everything so some things were left out but the ones he did were close to the original routes (close enough to be picked up by sensors) and the dates are close but not exact in every case so it might be 10-12 hours or a whole day off.

these are just my impressions of what I see since only he knows what criteria he chose to keep a little randomness to it.

he tried to be accurate to history but not be a cheat while deciding what battles and such he would script and the rest was not done. its a huge amount of work so you cant do everything and some things you might look for just may not have made his list of things to script.

Still is it that hard to ask for the Queens to be close to the historical routes they took?

Not really, but being able to look it up and get there first with 20/20 hindsight makes it more than a little too easy.

Of course nothing prevents you from using the Mission Editor to change everything to your own liking.

Are you all talking about OM or RSRDC? I was under the impression that RSRDC did not include allied traffic for the U-boat campaign. Was OM supposed to have an historically accurate traffic script?

I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me since they were both done by Lurker.
