New member saying hi

Hi everyone.

I have had the old Destroyer Command and Silent Hunter 2 since they came out and never got tired of playing them. I am a huge war history buff which is why I love these two games. I know there are mistakes made in the games but I overlook them. I also am a fan of the John Wayne film In Harms Way, the movie U571, and most of the old war movies which is another reason I never get tired of these two games.

Before the History Channel started airing shows that are mostly about people making money, I watched the specials on different subjects related to wars. I am fascinated with Battleships, Diesel Submarines, and Destroyers. I watched the special on the Bismark over and over to the point I got banned from the television and VCR.

Forums are new to me. This is actually my first account anywhere so I will try to not be a bother to people who actually know what they are doing.

Anyway,

I just wanted to say hi.

Welcome Aboard! I can tell you now that your viewpoints on U-571 will change.

I used to love that movie but now I can't sit through 5 minutes of it.

I couldn't pick a favorite sub movie if I tried though. I like most of them.
