Video tutorial for bad weather (and night) attack?

Hi

I've been lurking and playing these games since SH3, but I'm still a total noob. All the CTD's and trying to keep up with mods causes me to stop playing for large periods of time.

Anyway, I'm asking this question because I'm trying to get back into this game (either SH4 or SH5 - I have both) and it seems (typical of my luck) that I find a juicy target but the weather is so poor I can't use the periscope because I'm bouncing around all over the place or it's just too damn dark.

Does the great Stoianm or someone else have a video tutorial on how to cope with this?
